Dorothy Caldwell Mark Making Class, Lang Pioneer Village, Hastings ON Aug 2014

Here are some photos of an amazing three-day workshop organized by Skye Morrison with one of the rock stars of the textile art world. Not only is Dorothy Caldwell supremely gifted and internationally celebrated, she is super nice and a generous and well-prepared teacher. The class took place outdoors under a big tent in perfect summer weather.  We even had a brief and gentle rain fall just as were were painting and needed to add a few more "marks"! There were sheep, swallows, pigs and roosters as close neighbours for sound effects.  I took the class with my talented Connections friends Gordana Brelih and Jennie Woods. We were blessed with a visit to a beautiful local garden and....best of all, Dorothy's home studio!! How lucky am I!

Art Felting in Elora July 2014

Just spent a perfect week creating art felt with Donna, Dawn, Bernice, Silvana, Judy and Yvonne. We had such fun playing, inventing, embellishing and helping each other.  We made wall art, jewellery, scarves, stones, snakes, purses, balls and vessels. Here are some photos of our adventures. Big thanks to the Wellington County Museum and Archives for hosting us and my wonderful students.  Feast your eyes!
